Anton Kaapl WILLIAMS Pear is a top-quality varietal pear brandy distilled exclusively from Williams pears, which are considered the most suitable raw material for the production of fine fruit distillates. The mash is made exclusively from this variety, with the pears sourced from Serbia, giving the distillate its characteristic aroma and fullness.
Production:
Production follows the traditional method – alcoholic fermentation followed by multi-stage distillation. The sensitive approach of the master distiller and carefully controlled fermentation allow the fully intense, characteristic tones of Williams pears to be transferred to the resulting brandy. The distillate is then diluted with soft demineralized water from a 102-meter-deep well in the Klikov formation of the Třeboň Basin. No other ingredients are added.
Tasting profile:
The pear brandy has a distinctive taste, with a bold start that gradually transitions into a long, clean, and very elegant finish. The aroma is intense, naturally fruity, and typically "Williams."

DO NOT CHILL OR FREEZE!
The ideal serving temperature is 12–16 °C to fully bring out the varietal aromatics and long, harmonious finish.
About the Anton Kaapl distillery:
The Anton Kaapl distillery, founded in 2018 in Jílovice in southern Bohemia, produces spirits and liqueurs with deep Austro-Hungarian roots and a tradition of distilling fruit spirits. The name of the distillery and the motto on the bottle labels, "Familientradition aus Gilowitz", refer to its rich family heritage.
Since its market entry in October 2019, the distillery has focused on producing premium spirits and liqueurs. In 2022, it entered into an exclusive import partnership with the Italian family distillery PILZER, expanding its range with unique products.
Only demineralized water from a 102-meter-deep well in the Třeboň Basin is used in production, which guarantees the exceptional purity and smoothness of all products. The process from fruit selection, through fermentation, distillation, and aging to bottling is carefully monitored to achieve the highest quality. Anton Kaapl is also committed to ecology, with an emphasis on recycling and sustainability, reflecting their commitment to protecting nature. Each product from the distillery is the result of knowledge, patience, and creativity, transforming distillation into an art form.
Anton Kaapl, born in 1884 and died in 1948, was the founder of the family tradition of distilling fruit spirits in Jílovice, South Bohemia. His name is now borne by the family distillery, which is a proud continuer of these traditional practices and refers to the rich history and Austro-Hungarian roots of the family. Anton Kaapl, a veteran of the Great War, had a significant career in both military and civilian roles, serving as mayor or deputy mayor of Jílovice until 1945. The distillery, which was founded on the basis of these long-standing family experiences, still bears the words "Familientradition aus Gilowitz" on the labels of its products, honoring its roots and history.
