Originating from the family-run distillery U Zeleného stromu, the oldest distillery in Europe, Moravský Košt was born out of a desire to return to the sincere meeting and sharing of stories. In response to the changes in the world caused by the pandemic and the fast pace of life, Moravský Košt brings a taste of genuine human contact and the joy of being together. The brand emphasises localness and bohemianism, with a focus on quality and traditional processing.

Production process:

1. Purchasing and processing of fruit: High quality apricots, plums and pears from Moravia are carefully picked and prepared for fermentation.
2. Establishment and storage of the ferment: Fermentation of the fruit allows a rich and complex flavour to be achieved.
3. Distillation: It takes place on a modern distillation column, takes three hours and results in a strong spirit with an average strength of 62.5%, which retains its undiluted strength.
4. Storage: The distillate is aged in stainless steel or earthenware vessels, giving it smoothness and fullness.
5. Finishing and bottling: The distillate is diluted to the desired percentage of alcohol, frozen, filtered and bottled, ensuring its premium quality.
