Slivovice Žufánek is a noble fruit spirit with a characteristic taste and aroma. It is produced from own fruit with fixed proportions of individual varieties.
Only fruit from our orchards in the White Carpathians Protected Landscape Area under the organic farming regime is used in the production of Slivovica Žufánek.
Due to the size of our orchards, we have a total of 8 plum varieties that ripen from July to September. The earliest variety is Čačanská and the latest are Stanley and Anna Späth.
Each variety is fermented separately, distilled separately but blended together in the cellar and aged for 8-12 months in stainless steel tanks. This is a unique cuvée with no taste and aroma competition.
The recommended serving and storage temperature is between 10 and 18 °C. Temperatures below about 7 °C will cause slight cloudiness due to precipitation of the aromatic oils. There is no reason to refrigerate or even freeze our spirits. It is because of those wonderful and laboriously extracted aromatic oils that we drink it. Otherwise it would taste like flavored vodka.
