Gold Well Whisky Batch II is a special limited edition created as a joint project between the Svachovka / Old Well distillery and the R. Jelínek / Gold Cock distillery. This friendly collaboration was created primarily for fans of Czech and Moravian whisky and combines two distinct approaches into a single distinctive, smoky blend. Only 450 numbered bottles were produced, making this a highly collectible edition.

Production:

The base consists of two peated whiskies. Gold Cock supplied whisky made from malt prepared at the Bruntál malt house, distilled in Vizovice, and subsequently aged in 300-liter virgin oak casks from the Bařina cooperage. Old Well contributed a peated whisky made from Scottish barley from the Bairds malt house, distilled in a copper pot still and aged in bourbon and Marsala wine casks. The final blending took place in a 190-liter Maker’s Mark cask, where the blended whisky rested for another 12 months. The ratio of distillates used is 60% Old Well / 40% Gold Cock.

Gold Well Whisky Batch II is a limited-edition Czech whisky for lovers of smokier and more distinctly cask-influenced styles. The combination of virgin oak, bourbon, Marsala, and Maker’s Mark casks promises a complex and highly distinctive profile.

About the Svach distillery:

SVACH, founded in 2015 near Český Krumlov, is a young but ambitious distillery that has quickly made a name for itself among lovers of quality spirits. It combines traditional Moravian methods with modern technologies, all in collaboration with the local Glokner brewery, creating products with a unique character.

The SVACH distillery specializes in fruit spirits, such as pear brandy and plum brandy, which are made from high-quality fruit using controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. In recent years, it has also expanded its range to include craft whiskey, for which it has modified its distillation column and spirit vapor system to meet the highest international standards.
