Svach's Old Well Whisky Bourbon Sherry is a Czech single malt whiskey distilled from malted barley. It was first aged in American bourbon casks and then in casks that previously held sweet Pedro Ximénez sherry, which gave it a fuller, fruitier character and a more pronounced sweetness.

Tasting Profile:

Color: Light amber.

Aroma: Distinctly oaky and fruity, with notes of syrupy sweetness, apricots, cloves, and spices.

Taste: Full-bodied and fruity, with notes of dried plums, wild strawberries, berries, dried figs, vanilla, and milk chocolate.

Finish: Fresh, smooth, and silky, medium-length, with notes of fruit and chocolate.

The aroma combines a pronounced oaky base with syrupy sweetness, apricots, cloves, and other spicy notes. The flavor is rich and fruity, with notes of dried plums, wild strawberries, berries, and dried figs. The whole is complemented by subtle vanilla and milk chocolate, which pleasantly round out the flavor.

Thanks to bottling at a higher alcohol content of 46.3%, the whiskey has a fuller and more intense character. Nevertheless, it retains a smooth and silky mouthfeel with a pleasantly fresh finish.

Before tasting, it is recommended to add a few drops of water, which can help the whiskey open up and bring out its fruity, spicy, and chocolate notes.
